The interactive map below summarizes the latest progress on the introduction and scale-up of multiple micronutrient supplementation (MMS) and balanced energy and protein (BEP) dietary supplementation at the country level by various partners. Countries are categorized into distinct phases, as indicated in the legend. It also shows the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women and low birthweight newborns.

Each country profile provides a detailed description of the current status of MMS and BEP implementation, as well as a summary of six key health indicators of maternal nutrition – anemia in pregnant women, underweight women, low birthweight newborns, stillbirth rate, pre-term births, and infant mortality based on the latest statistics available from the World Health Organization (WHO). Although we acknowledge that national-level data may exist, the data related to health indicators displayed on the World map come from the WHO, providing a standardised approach for all countries.

This map was last updated in April 2026. It will be regularly updated based on new information from partners. If you would like to inform us about new developments, please write to us at [email protected].
