Summary: Phase 2. Pilot/Implementation Research & Program Design

In Myanmar, delivery of BEP supplementation transitioned to partner-led implementation outside of government systems following the 2021 military coup, with programming continuing since then. Programmes are implemented using available spaces and non-government staff for the management of undernutrition. WSB+ is provided during pregnancy and up to 6 months postpartum. Geographical targeting includes food security and child wasting data, as well as confilct affected populations and townships under martial law. Individual targeting is conducted using a MUAC cut-off of 21 cm.
For the prevention of undernutrition, WSB++ is provided at a smaller dosage in emergency and resilience-type programmes (targeting based on past surveys).
