UNICEF recently published updated UNICEF Product Specification Sheet for UNIMMAP MMS and UNICEF Technical Requirements for Micronutrient Supplement Products, developed with Kirk Humanitarian, establishing a single global quality standard for prenatal vitamin and mineral supplements. UNIMMAP MMS, a 15‑nutrient formulation, improves maternal and newborn outcomes compared to iron–folic acid, and HMHB has released a Technical Brief and FAQ for UNIMMAP MMS Quality Standards to support adoption of these standards by governments, regulators, manufacturers, and advocates.

The Coffee and Chai Chat will also spotlight the UNICEF MMS Market Dashboard, an interactive public tool within the Nutrition Market Dashboard that provides up-to-date data on MMS tablets secured for delivery, tablets delivered, and the number of pregnant women reached. Together, unified quality standards and transparent delivery data are strengthening the global MMS market and accelerating access to high-quality supplements for pregnant women worldwide.
